Gaming in Belize
Newly introduced to Belize, the gaming industry has been tailored to attract genuine investors to participate in its expansion. Gaming Regulations have been adapted from similar systems based in successful gaming countries and then adjusted to create a modem program to suit the gaming industry of the new millennium.

Who Qualifies?
Large hotels established or in the process of construction can apply for a gaming license. Furthermore, every person with the intention of using or permitting another person to use his premises for gaming is required to apply for a gaming license.

Application Procedures
An application form can be obtained from the Gaming Control Board. Applicants must submit a completed application form to the Gaming Control Board with the following supporting documentation:
1. Memorandum and Articles of Association of the applicant company, holding company and/or each subsidiary company
2. Copies of audited accounts of the applicant
3. Particulars of each person who has any financial interest in the entity applying
4. Full set of fingerprints of persons referred to in (3) above
5. Copy of personal identification card and two recent black & white photos of persons referred to in (3) above
6. Copy of Naturalization Documents of persons referred to in (3) above if persons are naturalized citizens or permanent resident of another country
7. Copies of title of ownership or of lease agreement to the hotel where licensed premises is situated
8. Character references of applicant
