Five blues lake national park

Five blues lake national park

The Five Blues Lake National Park is located in a particular position, in the buttress of the Maya Mountains, having lush of vegetation. It is a karstic land, still spotless, swarming with a spectacular wild fauna. The Park had been  arranged in 1992 as an exposition  place for the charming  biological diversity and  for the rich cultural region’s patrimony.
It includes 16,2 sq.km. of tropical forest and keeps the richness of natural and archaeological elements.

Five Blues is only a lake, but it has a variety of  blue shades. Watching this variety of colours, it is easy to imagine the reason of this name. The lake is a cenote, a system obtained by the scrash of a cave, and it is also known by the name “blue Hole”. In it, cold waters flow down to 61 m. depth and its extension is approximately  4,05 hectares.
