It is a tropical forest of about 20 hectares located in the northern part of the Western Highway at the conjuction with Hummingbird Highway, in the Cayo District.
The park is famous for its enormous tree of Guanacaste that grows near to the Park Southern-west boundary. In the park, there are numerous other types of trees.
Although there are only a few mammals, inside the park they found out more than 100 types of birds.
Guanacaste Park is an easy entry to the Tropical Forest of Belize because it is easily crossing, it has pathes very well pointed out and many trees have been labelled.
